Unlocking the Mystery of Life and Icons of Evolution — Various Criticisms

This episode is going to be based on the two Intelligent Design/anti-Evolution videos I’ve seen recently. Both contained familiar faces from the ID camp, and some posed actual scientific claims about evolution. We will see how these hold up, and also take a look at how these videos are presented to the viewer, and see how the way in which they are presented twist their case. No Creationist Claim section for the week, as going over the DVDs in partly a Creationist Claim in and of itself.

History of Pre-Evolutionary Thought

This week’s episode is going to be discussing the evolutionary concepts and debates before Darwin’s time. Focus will especially be made on the “Functionalism vs. Formalism”. The Creationist claim for this week is going to be on the “Plesiosaur” caught by a Japanese trawler in the late 70’s.

Inflationary Theory, Take Two

This week’s podcast is going to be covering Inflationary Theory again. After writing my paper I feel a bit more confident in my knowledge, which I will try to present as clearly as possible. The Creationist Claim this week is going to be discussing the arbitrary division of macro and microevolution by Creationists.

Going To the Sources: A Critique of The Seattle Debate and Creationist Lecture

Over the last two weeks I attended both a discussion in Seattle between the Discovery Institute and a UW Earth Sciences professor; as well as a lecture in my local community by a Creationist. In this podcast I will discuss both of these and where they both went wrong.
•Going to leave Creationist Claim section out this week. Got plenty of them in the last podcast, and will get more when I critique the local Creationist meeting I went to.
